Carmen was recently in London – here are some pics in her favourite shops!
If Carmen could move permanently into Selfridges as a full time resident, she would. Favourite Department Store… EVER.
HIX restaurant inside is one of the best department store “cafe’s” Carmen has ever visited. Caviar and champagne – seriously?!! The afternoon tea with scones is highly recommended here.
Chanel in Selfridges below. Burberry was crazy busy whilst Hermes was dead quiet (perhaps because they had no more bags to sell or keep shipping them straight off to Asia?). Interesting. In any case, Carmen noticed that most London women she saw around town carry Mulberry bags or Michael Kors.
Another huge favourite of Carmen’s. Yes we know this is an American brand but the store on Regent’s street in London is just so damn amazing! Total joy to walk around, and Carmen came away with three amazing ceramic bowls.
Carmen loved this dress below, but just didn’t have time to try it on! How cool is this maxi dress?! The trousers below seemed to be quite popular whilst Carmen was in the store – lots of girls were trying them on! Note: we think this look would be best suited to tall girls! Also love the simple look on the right with the metallic skirt. Carmen loves the clothes in Anthropologie as they are just so different (although they aren’t cheap either)…. however she absolutely ADORES the ceramics & homewares. They’re just so colourful and begging to be purchased.Loved the blue aztec inspired dress on the far left below. There were a LOT of folk-sy inspired clothes and accessories all over London. AND the big colour for next season? WHITE! Speaking of home-wares, Carmen just had to take a snap of this display bed below. Think it was snapped in John Lewis department store. In any case, how calming and inviting does that bed look?! GIEVES & HAWKES, SAVILLE ROW
