Hidden Finds Market at the Secret Garden

20130923-092006.jpg

So while most people were infected by the F1 fever last weekend, Carmen and Natasha were busy with something else. Well, Carmen in particular, who had an awesome stall set up at the Hidden Finds Market.

What is it exactly? Well, it’s simply a clever way to utilize an otherwise empty space with a beautiful view of Singapore. It’s a pop up market situated on the 16th floor of TripleOne Somerset building on Orchard Road. There’s a bit of everything at this market – in a good way. You can easily spend more than an hour here, the air conditioned room really helped (is it just us or Singapore has been unbearably hot lately??!!).

Without further ado, here is a selection of some of our favorite stalls.

Strangely Yours – LOVE their stuff! From necklaces to bracelets, from cufflinks to stud earrings, Strangely Yours makes a fantastic gift idea for birthdays and Christmas (we can’t believe Christmas is only a few months away). The prices are very reasonable, but the best part about it is all the movable parts on the necklaces (see pictures below).

We love these camera necklaces. The ‘zoom’ lens can move in and out!

Below is Natasha’s favorite. A DJ turntable necklace! Again, you can move some of the parts. Love love love!

For more feminine and dainty necklace option, below is our favorite. Check out the writing on it! If you’re looking for a sign, this is it. Altogether now, awwww….!!

How cute are these little birdhouses below? Adorable, right? The yellow one is gorgeous.

Got a bookworm or funky nerd for a friend? The pendant below is a perfect gift idea!

We’re loving the cufflinks below, the rustic finish makes them look even more unique.

Latitude ONE Degree – next on our list of our favorite stalls. Carmen and Natasha adore clutches, especially the ones that can actually fit more than just your mobile phone and a lip gloss. Made from pure calf leather, the clutches below are definitely a winner!

Wear it with ripped jeans or your LBD, these clutches will definitely turn heads (in a good way!).

We are liking the neon clutches below. Throw on a pair of white jeans and white shirt or tank top and a bright necklace, strappy flat sandals or wedges will finish this look. Love!

Next on our list is Csar Luxe. You know how there are SO many places selling iPhone cases that look and feel cheap? Well, you’d be glad to know that Csar Luxe is the exact opposite. It’s pretty, it’s French and it’s just.. well.. pretty. Natasha almost fell into the impulse buying booby trap but successfully recovered her willpower. Phew…

We love the pretty prints! Go to http://www.csarluxe.com for more info. Oh and they have a shop at the Esplanade Mall on level 2.

Vintage in Singapore: Her Vintage Finds

Carmen was recently at the Cathay pop up store selling her surviveSG products, and met the founders of Her Vintage Finds – a recently opened online store selling vintage wares in Singapore.

Her Vintage Finds sells dresses, bags, belts, and jewellery – and unlike some of those vintage stores that feel like they sourced their wares from a cheap charity shop, these ladies are true vintage lovers and carefully source and select the best quality around.
